I don't see how to contact the developer, anybody knows? The privacy policy has email hoa_at_dejalu_dot_me but I don't know if that works, have not received a reply on that. Two issues I observed so far: 1. /private/var/folders/x8 ... I don't know much about schematic of how apps operate on MacOS but I would expect the application to run from the Applications folder. DejaLu seems is copying the DejaLu.app into the folder /private/var/folders/x8 and it runs from there. The issue is it seems to create a new fresh copy of itself every time the application runs? Is this necessary? Is this how applications work on MacOS? The issue with it is with LittleSnitch. Every time DejaLu.app starts, it LS will ask me for permissions, because the location of the DejaLu.app changes in that folder /private/var/folders/x8, every time the app starts, the location changes. The new location is in a virtual volume and the name of that volume is a random string and the string changes every time. So it is impossible to save the LS rule for the application as it is a temporary location. 2. Adding additional email beyond the 1st email is not possible for writing emails. The app complains the Drafts folder needs to be created. Where? In my Outlook account, there is already Drafts. I tried to use Labels to create a label called Drafts. When I tried that to do for the account that doesn't have the folder, the app would just crash. So while it is possible to read emails from multiple accounts, not possible to write email from any additional account beyond the first account that was added.

WOw what a nice email client it is gonna be. I had issues adding the regular Outlook but it worked with IMAP Outlook after several tries, didn't work from the main menu, had not received emails but then worked after re-adding the email account from the confirm screen. It's FAST and is what is great. Works on older MacOS which is great. It is a relatively small email client, and has almost no memory foot print. All tick boxes checked. The only thing I wish the beta version had is ability to hide the dock icon if the menu icon is enabled. but okay that's just a small thing.

As ex-lover of Sparrow I was searching for a mailclient like this one for years. After spending a lot of money for even paid e-mail clients like Airmail or Inbox clones I am happy that I have found this new one. I would like that when I not show the Sidebar the maillist would be as dark as when I enable the Sidebar. I use dark mode in macOS b.t.w. I hope there will be updates too. But for now I'm glad that I came this one across.

Excellent app overall. Very fast connecting to Gmail sending or receiving. Elegant design. Vast improvement on Mail but without the bells and whistles other apps offer but only useful to users flooded with emails every day (Spark, Canary, Astro, etc.). One urgent improvement would be to turn down down the absurdly high volume on the whoosh sound emails make as they go out. It's deafening! I was emailing in an airport today and people around me kept staring every time another email went out, wondering what on earth I was up to making all that noise.
